17 Months!!

Avonlea is now 17 months old and she is a bundle of fun, sweetness & crazy! She enjoys saying, "Apple, baby, cowboy, ball, cheese, light, cracker, hot, sock, tv" and of course, her favorite word is still "shoe." She is a great eater and loves dancing & climbing. She also loves reading books (each for only a few seconds) & making a duck sound (while flapping her "wings"). Avonlea also loves playing Peek-a-boo and piano. Oh, and she currently has one molar, and 8 front teeth. Our little girl is getting big! Here are some pics from last month...

Tonight, Avonlea went Trick-or-Treating for the 1st time. She actually has been under-the-weather for the last day and a half or so, but we didn't want her to miss out on the experience. So...we got her dressed and hit 2 of our neighbors' houses. She was a little freaked out, but after the second house, she did wave bye-bye. Cutest little Owl I've ever seen!

Pumpkin Patch!!

This past weekend, Avonlea and I headed up to visit my sister, Susan and her family in Dallas. We had a blast! Avonlea enjoyed playing with her 3 cousins & I enjoyed some "sister time." Yesterday (Saturday), Jon & Susan took us to the Dallas Arboretum to enjoy the incredible display of pumpkins and other fall foliage. We had a lovely picnic in the park and the kids all enjoyed playing outside!! Here are some pics..

Bathing, Brushing and Being 15 months old (almost)

Avonlea is already 15 months old (or will be on the 7th)! She is becoming a "big girl" and has changed into several sippy-cups, drinks from a straw at restaurants, eats everything we do, enjoys singing and dancing, and is running, yes running, at fast speeds (@least for a kid her age). Her favorite words to say, as of now, are "hot" (imagine that), "shoes", "cheese", "hi". Two of her favorite things these days (there really are lots of favorite things) are taking baths & brushing her teeth (2 top & 2 bottoms is all she has). I can't believe she is getting so big, but she lights up our world!!

Avonlea's First Birthday Party!

On June 3rd we had Avonlea's very 1st Birthday Party. BeBe & Gigi (Neighbors) had it at their house and it was a fun party filled with cake, presents, food, family & friends! Thanks for making Avonlea's first birthday party so special!! Here are some pics...

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl!

Today is Avonlea's Birthday. HaPpY bIrThDaY aVoNlEa!!!! Unfortunately for her, we had her 12 month visit at the doctors office. What kind of a mother would do that to her baby girl? Well, I must admit that the Whole milk instead of formula was on my mind and getting to know all the stats on my baby were my motivation. Avonlea is very healthy and weighs 19 lbs. 13 oz. (30%), her height is 29 3/4 inches (75%) and head circum. is in the 50%. Blood-work done & fine. Vaccines given. Praise the Lord for a healthy 1 year old! What a wonderful year it has been and the amount of joy our little girl has brought to our lives is indescribeable!
