I wanted to make sure Avonlea's Owl costume still fit for this year. This first picture is after I told her we needed to go take off the Owl Outfit. Not Very Happy!

Opa!

After we hit the birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese on Saturday, we decided to get our GREEK on at the Greek Festival. Here is Avonlea, with Granny and Grandma enjoying some food.

 Oh, and one cannot talk about a Greek Festival without mentioning the dancing...

 The next day, Avonlea was dragging a little, but she let out enough "Opa's" to let us know it was worth it!

Last week in Minnesota!

Jeff's mom came up to Minnesota for our last week there.  Here's how we occupied our time:
1. Church and lunch with my uncle Dave

2.  Dinner Boat on the St. Croix in Stillwater

3.  Going to Mall of America

4.  A trip to the Rice County Fair

5.  Lunch with my Aunt Peg at the Tavern in Northfield.

6.  Oh...and we might have made a trip to a Casino in the area.  For the Buffet, of course! (not pictured) :)

It was a BLAST!!!

4th of July Firecrackers!

Like years past, we were in Owatonna with my parents, my brother Patrick and sister Susan's family for the 4th of July.  We started it off by going to a CANDY-PACKED parade in North Morristown.  Basically, it was a road in the middle of cornfields, but it did the trick.  After that, we went back to O-town where the kids went swimming, played baseball and cooled down from the 100 degree temps. Later that night some of us went down to the south end of town to watch the fireworks.

Bayfield Bound!

At the end of June we headed to Minnesota for our annual stay up there. We had a week in Owatonna before we went up to Bayfield, Wisconsin. On Friday, we set out. Patrick, Jamie, Avonlea, Jeff and I in one car which left earlier so we could stop at the Kaffe Stuga (a traditional lunch/breakfast stop for our family) and Mom and Dad in their car.  We checked-in to the condo, got situated and enjoyed shooting wine-corks into a huge vase that was in the condo.  We strolled the streets of Bayfield, looking at all the gift shops, candy stores and eateries around the area. Saturday, we took a ferry to Madeline Island where we did more shopping, had a picnic on the beach and tried to stay cool in the unusually HOT temps.  Later that evening, we hit up Big Top Chatauqua.  We enjoyed Glenn Campbell's farewell tour! It was a fantastic weekend!!!
