Easter Break (part 2): Easter morning and G-ma's house

We woke up early Sunday morning and watched as the girls discovered their filled Easter baskets, then we headed outside so Avonlea could find the eggs her daddy had hidden in the back yard. We then loaded up the car, headed to church and had a great time of worship. Just a plug for our church...if you do not have a church and live in the Houston area, you should come check out Houston's First Baptist Church. It is absolutely AMAZING! Anyway, we left church and went to Grandma's (Jeff's mom) house to celebrate. GiGi, BeBe, Granny and Grady (Billy's dad) were there in addition to Grandma. G-ma had designed an Easter Egg hunt for Jeff and me and we had to figure out the clues first to find our eggs. It was so much fun! Of course, the girlies were showered with gifts from GiGi & BeBe and Grandma. Avonlea also participated in her 3rd Easter egg hunt in G-ma's backyard. We had a wonderful meal, played hard, and enjoyed every minute. It was a great day!

Easter Break (part 1): Fun with the Roseberry Fam!

Last Thursday, we headed up to Chandler, TX where Julie, Michael & Alayna live. For those who don't know these amazing peeps, they are Jeff's aunt, uncle & cousin. We arrived Thursday evening. When we woke up, Julie had made us delicious pancakes and Michael made us wonderful scrammbled eggs. Avonlea absolutely loved playing with cousin Alayna! Friday afternoon, Julie and Michael took us to play tennis, where Michael taught both of us some tennis techniques. If you are looking for a coach/instructor, he is AWESOME! He taught both of us more in an hour than my class at Baylor did for a whole semester! Later that afternoon, Grandpa (Jeff's Dad) and Gran-Gran (Jeff's Grandma) arrived. We all had a delicious supper and the next morning we dyed eggs and went to an Easter Egg hunt at a neighboring school's football field. A helicopter dropped eggs and supposedly there were 50,000 eggs to collect. It was a FABULOUS weekend and we had such a fun time with family! Thanks for having us Michael, Julie & Alayna!
