4th of July Firecrackers!

Like years past, we were in Owatonna with my parents, my brother Patrick and sister Susan's family for the 4th of July.  We started it off by going to a CANDY-PACKED parade in North Morristown.  Basically, it was a road in the middle of cornfields, but it did the trick.  After that, we went back to O-town where the kids went swimming, played baseball and cooled down from the 100 degree temps. Later that night some of us went down to the south end of town to watch the fireworks.

Bayfield Bound!

At the end of June we headed to Minnesota for our annual stay up there. We had a week in Owatonna before we went up to Bayfield, Wisconsin. On Friday, we set out. Patrick, Jamie, Avonlea, Jeff and I in one car which left earlier so we could stop at the Kaffe Stuga (a traditional lunch/breakfast stop for our family) and Mom and Dad in their car.  We checked-in to the condo, got situated and enjoyed shooting wine-corks into a huge vase that was in the condo.  We strolled the streets of Bayfield, looking at all the gift shops, candy stores and eateries around the area. Saturday, we took a ferry to Madeline Island where we did more shopping, had a picnic on the beach and tried to stay cool in the unusually HOT temps.  Later that evening, we hit up Big Top Chatauqua.  We enjoyed Glenn Campbell's farewell tour! It was a fantastic weekend!!!

Avonlea's 2nd Birthday

Okay...So I'm a little backed-up with the blogging, but better late than never, right?  On June 7th, Avonlea turned 2.  It is so hard to believe that our baby girl is already two and growing up so fast.  Grandma & Grandpa Martin, Uncle Jon & Aunt Susan, Cousins Liam, Ellery & Marin were all with her (us) to celebrate.

Two days later, we had her birthday party at our house. We decided to get a bouncy-house to entertain some of the kids (and Big kids).  It was a great day of celebration!!!

A few days later, she had her 2 year check-up at the doctor's office.
